Kennegy

Area

A sandy beach just west of Praa Sands that hides at the foot of modest cliffs littered with deep caves that are great for exploring. Clean waves can be found during stormy Westerly gales and the beach can offer a welcome respite during the winter months. Just offshore is the Enys, a tiny stony island surrounded by shallow rocks. Up on the cliff to the west of the cove is a world famous classical music school, the International Musicians Seminar. If you time it right and the wind is in your favour you can catch glimpses of Bach, Chopin and Vivaldi floating across the bay.

Directions

Park at the top car park for Prussia Cove and walk down the footpath and head east. Drop down into King’s Cove and walk along the rocks until you reach the beach. Alternatively, park at Praa sands and enjoy a magnificent coastal walk round and drop down onto the beach at the eastern end. This route will require clambering across rocks.
